Global health and addiction are intricate, versatile, and burdensome public health problems that disregard national borders and deeply interfere with individual well-being and society. The Addiction World Conference (AWC) is the prime international podium for arguing on the worldwide war on addiction. Addiction, in different ways, such as substance or behavior addiction, is a significant obstacle in the world of health; not only does it affect the mental and physical health of people, but instead it also worsens social and economic inequality. This complex issue is comprised of several angles, such as epidemiological, sociocultural, neurobiological, and policy-oriented, all of which are significant concerns in global health. The AWC seminar will be a perfect opportunity to get to know all the sides of addiction, from neurobiology to policy, and will be done by a collaborating, interdisciplinary approach.
