Addiction Nursing

Addiction nursing is part of the health care service provided to individuals who are afflicted with substance use disorders and addictive behaviors. Addiction nurses use a combination of clinical knowledge and emotional intelligence in counseling patients for detoxification, rehabilitation, and reintegration into their respective lives. It addresses the physiological and psychological aspects of addiction in a holistic approach. Addiction World Conference is celebrating Addiction Nursing as a transformational force in practice by demonstrating the creative work of addiction nurses who integrate advances in clinical science with patient-centered care. AWC gives them the platform to demonstrate leadership in forming the future of addiction care.
