Psychoneuroimmunology of Addiction

Psychoneuroimmunology of Addiction (PNIA) is an innovative field examining the complex interplay between psychological processes, neurological function, and immune system activity in addiction. It highlights how addictive behaviors reshape brain circuitry and influence immune responses, which can, in turn, exacerbate addiction. PNIA enhances our understanding of addiction's biological and psychological foundations by integrating insights from psychology, neurobiology, and immunology. At the Addiction World Conference (AWC) 2025, PNIA will showcase groundbreaking insights into how immune system dysregulation contributes to addiction's onset and progression.
