Hatice Demirbaş¸ PhD, is a Professor at Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University Faculty of Arts, Department of Psychology. She worked as a psychologist in the Department of Mental Health and Diseases of Ankara University Faculty of Medicine at Addiction Unit between 1986-2007. Her research focuses on substance use and addiction, psychopathology, group psychotherapy, child abuse and neglect, and forensic psychology. Demirbaş has been organize a series of national congresses about addictions. Also she is the editor of the books which are “Struggle with Addiction by Science”, “Suicide” and “Women and Crime”, the translation editor of the books are “Essentials of Forensic Psychological Assessment” and “Cravings and Addictions”, and has a book titled “Psychopathology and Crime”. She studies suicide, substance use and behavioral addictions with master students. She is giving lessons about addiction, assessment, evaluation of psychiatric patients, psychological tests and psychopathology at University in Psychology Department. She is one of the scientific committe member of 2nd, 3rd International Conference on Addiction & Psychiatry.
