Biography

Douglass Pipkin is a recent graduate from the University of Houston, earning a Bachelor of Psychology with a minor in Sociology, Phi Beta Kappa, and Magna Cum Laude, with a distinction and gold medal in outstanding research study in clinical psychology. His senior thesis focused on the roles of shame and guilt in alcohol misuse. Douglass has held positions as a Case Manager at Sonoma County Drug Court and as a Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician at Olympia House Treatment Canter. Additionally, he served as a Volunteer Research Assistant at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the RESTORE Lab. He is actively involved in professional organizations, emphasizing his commitment to advancing research and interventions in mental health.
