Biography

Ted Curtiss Johnson, born December 4, 1972, in Alameda, California, played 10 years (1995-2005) as a key defensive player for the New England Patriots, earning three Super Bowl titles. Drafted 57th overall from the University of Colorado, he recorded 763 tackles and 11.5 sacks in 125 games, serving as team captain multiple seasons. After retiring due to concussions, he transitioned into sports media with CBS Boston, NESN, and WEEI, and taught Leadership at Suffolk University. A fan favorite in Massachusetts, Johnson advocates for concussion awareness, mental health, and addiction, while supporting youth through philanthropy.
